When you say Boracay, you'll think of beach, nature, relax, bikini,
white sand, sunset, fun, foreigners (Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese,
Eurasians) seafood, and etc. Well eventually we will immortalized all of
that one by one.
Boracay is a Tropical Island that is located in the western part of Visayas. It is approximately 7killometers long and look like a dog bone shape Island. Traveling is one hour from Manila via Kalibo and another one and half hour from Kalibo to Caticlan Port going to the Island. It is one of the Philippines most popular tourist destination because of its finest white powdery inviting sand, a heavenly blue alluring ocean and a golden yellow sunset. Boracay Island is also listed as one of the world's best beaches.
Together with my in laws and my whole family, we went to Boracay Island last October Via SEAIR . We leave Manila in the afternoon and arrived in Boracay Island with showering raindrops at night. Its not summer then and its not a peak season so we are expecting that It won't be crowded but we are wrong. Even if its not a peak season, there still a lot of people everywhere and anywhere. Different nationalities and people in all ages from all over the world.
We arrive in our Hotel at Station 2, unpacked some important things for us to carry outside, phones, cameras and of course cash, then we went out to look for a restaurant to have our dinner. The tour was a little bit tiring but it will surely paid off once we step on to the relaxing softness of the soothing white sand, and it did, so fascinating! it relieves all our tiredness. We had our dinner in one of the restaurant or eatery that is located just in front of our hotel where we are staying. It was a huge eatery/restaurant that serves all types of seafoods menu during the night but it will transform as a guest souvenir market place in the morning. We order the best of their seafoods menu...Happy, solve and fully bloated.
After dinner ended, we move on to one place to another to warm up our feet, drop off some seafoods fats and to feel the cold night breeze, to hear the loud and humid sounds, to meet warm and sweet smile of different people from all walks of life and to see exciting event that is happening from corner to corner of the Island. Satisfied on the first night and silently dreaming that it won't last.
Morning comes, a brand new day to witness the happening of Boracay Island. We first ate our breakfast from one of the restaurant near our Hotel that serves different types of breakfast menu like "tapsi's". After the yummy breakky, is the most exciting event, time to hit the wave, time to heat our warm bodies under the sun and time to feel sexy.... again its Boracay Baby :))
Boracay is truly different from any other beaches that we've seen, the sand, the wave, the breeze and the best part of it, are the people you meet each day. The happiness and excitement you see to everyone, (that include us) about the things happening and to new experience that awaits to each one of us..
Another great and meaningful day passed, we took our early night rest and at around 11pm, my hubby and I go out and have a coffee at Starbucks. Date in Starbucks on that moment means, updating statuses, catch up with friends online and posts some photos..
The next day, we suppose to have a whole day of island hopping but suddenly the weather didn't cooperate, it becomes gloomy and raindrops starts to fall. Being a bit disappointed, we just keep ourselves busy searching and buying some stuff for Pasalubong or Souvenirs until the rain stopped.
On our last day in the Island, we took our lunch in Hap Chan, a restaurant of Boracay Regency Hotel. They serve Asian Cuisine specifically Chinese & Korean Menu in a bunch of Combos. Combination of different sizes of dishes and food to choose from that can fill a small group to big group of people. Since we are also a bunch, we choose the largest combo serving. Fill our selves, happy and bloated, then going back to our Hotel room with some extra leftovers.
Grasps our memories on the Island we then go back to the seashore to
whisper a gentle thankful message, a final walk and touch of the
soothing sand, blow kiss on the wind and rest a final friendly wave,
being so thankful and happy for the best Island experience and for
making our family enjoy and relax to the max.
Until We Meet Again. BORACAY!!
